Open Office: Much like Microsoft Office, this software offers a word processor, spreadsheets, presentations, and data bases. It’s also compatible with all other office suites, making it very dynamic.
Music and Audio:
Audacity: This multi-platform audio editor is very flexible and has a lot of cool features. Perfect software to start laying down some tracks.
Kristal Audio Engine: Because it’s only compatible with Windows this audio editor is not as popular as Audacity, but if you have a PC this is definitely worth checking out. It’s a multi-track recorder, audio editor, and can manage up to 16 audio channels.
