Literature
• As you probably already know, Project Gutenberg has like a bajillion ebooks from the public domain in several formats.
• LibriVox is the Project Gutenberg of the audiobook world, which makes it a valuable resource.
• Luminarium is an online encyclopedia of English literature through the 18th century, which includes excellently annotated primary texts as well as secondary sources.
• Victorian Web has some great secondary sources on Victorian literature, which essentially picks up where Luminarium leaves off.
History
• As one might expect, History.com is an invaluable study aid for history. It’s basically a huge yet succinct encyclopedia.
• The University of Houston has a comprehensive list of Guided Readings in American history as a part of their digital history project.
Philosophy
• This awesome website, Early Modern Texts, edits down and annotates the works of a selection of philosophers to be more easily understandable.
• There is no explanation necessary for the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
