  1. Loie,

I can’t say that I understand your intention behind these photographs or what they mean, but I can tell you that they are absolutely beautiful! Whatever this location is, it is spectacular for black and white photos. I love the tone of these photos and your printing choices were excellent. This is my favorite of your work so far, seriously. I can’t quite pinpoint why, but I really love this pair of images. Just lovely. 🙂

  2. As always your photos are beautiful! I was just looking at Day’s blog and while reflecting made a connection to yours. She is focusing on clutter culture and spent some time de-cluttering her space, getting rid of things she hasn’t used in three months. And then on the other side of the spectrum your work has a lot to do with these objects we hold on to because they hold memories and have intense meaning to us; they remind us of loved ones we have lost. Day’s research says that decluttering and simplifying your life, letting go of material things, makes a person much happier, but I’m having trouble finding the line between what is still important to hold on to and what is really just clutter.
