November 6, 2010: Evergreen vs. Northwest University
The Geoducks played uphill all afternoon, ultimately falling to Northwest University in overtime. Northwest scored twice in three minutes at the 18 and 21 minute marks to come out into an early lead. Adam Loga netted first after a scramble in the Evergreen box. Loga whistled a side volley off a missed clearance into the far post. The second goal came after a cross from Kyle Tatro, slipping the ball through the fingers of the Evergreen keeper, and reflecting it off the head of Luke Fisher for the first of his three goals on the day. The Geoducks were determined to make a game of it as Albert Anabtawi sent a cross to Corey Johnson who headed home to get the Geoducks on the board. Steven Sharp then took a pass from Johnson to beat the keeper from 10 yards to tie the score going into half. Luke Fisher got behind the Evergreen defense at the 76 minute mark and chipped home to put the Eagles back on top. With less than two minutes in regulation the Geoducks answered again as Kyle Weise drove a cross to Kevin Bourland who headed down to the far post to dramatically send the game to extra time. In the end, it was Luke Fisher’s day as he found his way around the Evergreen keeper and netted in the second overtime period to seal the match in the 105th minute.
