The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde’s Natural Resource Division is looking for  students interested in helping monitor the Tribe’s fish weir located on Agency Creek in Grand Ronde, Oregon (west of McMinnville) on weekends from November 2011 through May 2012. \

 

We are looking for college students studying Fish & Wildlife, Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field. Students should be able to work safely, independently, and in adverse weather conditions. Project will involve identifying, marking, and recording adult salmon and steelhead. Interns will be trained in fish identification and in fish weir operation.

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde’s Natural Resource Division is looking for motivated students interested in helping monitor the Tribe’s fish weir located on Agency Creek in Grand Ronde, Oregon (west of McMinnville) on weekends from late October 2011 through May 2012. We are looking for college students studying Fish & Wildlife, Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field. Students should be able to work safely, independently, and in adverse weather conditions. Project will involve identifying, marking, and recording adult salmon and steelhead. Interns will be trained in fish identification and in fish weir operation. Although this position is unpaid, it will provide students with a great opportunity to gain valuable field experience.
