Summer Student Conservation Association Positions – Glacial Ridge and Rydell NWRs – Minnesota
We are utilizing The Student Conservation Association (SCA) for recruitment of positions at Glacial Ridge and Rydell NWRs this summer. Below is a link to check out SCA and apply for two Invasive Plant Management Positions. Both positions work in treating and managing invasive species either mechanically, chemically, or biologically. This will include work with GIS/GPS, and all other management, maintenance, and biological needs.
In addition to these two positions, we are waiting for a Biological Technician – Botany and a Visitor Services position to be advertised through SCA as well. Once those hit the streets, I will be sending out a link as well.
All four positions include FREE housing on the beautiful Sunset Lake. We are located between Erskine, MN and Mentor, MN with multiple fishing, hiking, birding, and outdoor recreational opportunities. Rydell Refuge (where the bunkhouse is located) has 7 miles of paved trails to utilize for walking, running, and bike riding. While Erskine and Mentor have populations less than 500 people, they both provide the necessary grocers, fuel, and medical clinic.
Please distribute to those who may be interested. For questions regarding the Invasive Plant Management positions, please contact me at 218/ 687-2229 ext 25
