Wildlife Intern Position Description
The High Desert Museum is a multi-disciplinary museum dedicated to the natural history, art and cultural history of the high desert regions of North America. The museum is located near Bend, Oregon on the edge of the Deschutes National Forest. Internships are meant to provide initial exposure to the career of animal programming and environmental education in a nonprofit organization. Internships are a way for pre- professionals to build experience, skills and work histories that will make them more competitive in the job market. The intern will be exposed to a broad range of experiences and, in return, is expected to perform at a professional level in terms of personal work habits, enthusiasm, and team cooperation.
