About the job
It’s hard work creating a prosperous fishing future, and we couldn’t do it without dedicated, passionate interns who lend a diverse skillset to our work for a few months.
An internship with us includes a number of support tasks that will familiarize you with the fisheries world: communications tasks like media monitoring, reviewing social media, administrative tasks such as researching funding opportunities, and maintaining our awe-inducing SalesForce based database. (Seriously. It rocks.)
In addition to these tasks, you will be encouraged to work on an independent project. Perfect intern projects are made up of things that intersect your interests and our needs. Our needs are many, and your interests should be too. We’ll work with you to determine project focus and scope but you’ll be in the driver’s seat.
About you
You are motivated, passionate, and fun. You’re interested in learning more about the fisheries world and making a difference. Working with us is exactly the thing you need to do to launch you onto your path of greatness, whatever that may be. You’ll work hard to learn the ropes quickly.
Good people skills are a must—technical communications skills are helpful, but if you don’t know them, we’ll teach you.
This is an unpaid internship, but we will provide a stipend for your commute, and introduce you to as many awesome people as we can think of. In order for us all to benefit from this relationship, we’d appreciate it if you’d stick around for a minimum of 12 weeks.

About us
Our nation’s fisheries were in crisis—until we built the alliance that turned the tide. Twenty years later, we’re closer than ever to ending overfishing and restoring health to US fish stocks. How have we done it? To find out more visit our website athttp://www.conservefish.org
We work hard; we have fun. And even though we have a long and proud history as an NGO, our new team, our can-do culture and our nimble operating style have us running more like a startup.
