Through hands-on activities, learn what it takes to run a conservation based nonprofit. Site reviews of conserved lands include the collection of GPS, county assessor data; the inventory of Washington State species of concern and ecologically significant plants and animals; and photo documentation. Data will provide for robust and current baseline data for CRBL protected and conserved lands; and to ensure that the land trust meets required legal protection of conserved sites.
Help to develop volunteer opportunities for stewardship of protected lands. Activities may include field studies for elementary school students along the Chehalis River Discovery Trail, the removal of garbage, invasive plant species, and the planting of native trees and shrubs; and other activities.
