Excited to share an opening within Metro’s Parks & Nature department for a Volunteer Coordinator II.  This is a full-time, limited duration position funded by the natural areas operating levy. Minimum duration of the position funding is up to June 30, 2018, but duration may be extended if funding is available. Limited duration positions are eligible for full benefits. Schedule may change seasonally; evening and weekend work required. This person will report to Metro Regional Center in NE Portland. 

The person in this position will lead and assist volunteer work parties in the field year-round.  This position performs planning and logistical duties necessary for successful volunteer work parties, including procurement of materials and supplies and delivering them to sites as necessary, pre-event coordination with Metro staff and volunteers, post-event evaluation and record-keeping and maintenance of Metro’s tools and supplies in good working order.
