Spring and Summer 2019 Internship Opportunity with TerraForma Education
Terra-Forma Education is a small non-profit environmental education organization. We provide unique, quest-based summer day camp adventures for elementary school aged youth and rites-of-passage adventures for middle school aged youth. We are seeking a creative, adventurous and enthusiastic individual for an internship opportunity with the potential for full-time employment and future opportunities.
Are you:
- Experienced and excited about youth mentoring?
- Experienced and excited about story telling, myth and adventure?
- Passionate about protecting the Earth and living sustainably?
- Knowledgeable and willing to learn about Pacific Northwest native flora and fauna?
- Interested in learning about the operations of a small non-profit organization?
If so, you are a potential candidate for our internship position. As an intern you would work directly with the Director and Lead Mentor to:
- Update, and improve the curriculum for the coming year
- Organize and inventory educational materials
- Work with the Director to design and develop new programs
- Learn about the operations of a small nonprofit organization
- Assist with summer camp operations
Internship would begin March 1 or later, depending on availability and end August 30. The responsibilities for this internship would require 10-16 hours per week both in person in Seattle and independently. Interns that complete the program will receive a $750 stipend. As an intern that meets or exceeds expectations you will be eligible to apply for any available full-time summer position.
