An internship at Sage Conservation is an eco centered, impactful, movement-based, team-oriented experience for the environmentalist who wishes to make waves in the industry in the industry of conservation! We are seeking an Industrial Design student, or a field related to product engineering, testing, and development. This intern will help develop a stringent certification program for efficient water fixtures that aim to improve user experience. Phases of this program will include researching and testing products worldwide, establishing and documenting the process of fixture certification criteria, and building out presentation material relatable to potential sustainable architects and builders. This intern should have a passion for sustainability and an appreciation for ergonomics. This position will involve research, testing, data collection, summarizing findings via spreadsheets and creative educational digital presentations for the purpose of creating new design concepts for potential products. This position offers an opportunity to lay the groundwork for product design within the company. If creating products that are both visually appealing and user-friendly while combining artistic an engineering insight is your passion, this position is right up your alley!
Requirements
● Undergraduate or Graduate students of industrial design, architectural engineering, environmental statistics, resource management, or relating fields.
● Have a grasp and understanding of computer-aided design software
● Aware of design technologies and practices
● Passionate about grassroots environmental action and mobilization
● Willing to learn new skills and information in a challenging industry
● Comfortable with communal brainstorming activities
● Able to commit 10-15 hours of work per week (times are extremely flexible)
