The Lower Nehalem Community Trust is offering a paid stewardship internship starting in late May early June. This internship will involve a wide range of stewardship tasks including planting native plants and removing invasive plant species, documenting species on the properties and monitoring property conditions, training and working with trust volunteers and help creating a management plan to guide the future stewardship of our newest properties.

This internship will involve commitment of 20 hours per week on average through the end of August including some Saturdays. We are looking for someone with a deep interest in conservation ecology, education or work experience in ecology or land stewardship, the ability to work with volunteers of a variety of ages and skill levels, basic computer skills, ability to use power tools and the capacity to do physically demanding outdoor work.
