Environment International Ltd. (EI) is a small, high-powered environmental consulting firm. Our main office is located adjacent to the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Washington. We are an interdisciplinary team of environmental scientists, policy analysts, engineers and attorneys providing environmental consulting services in a variety of areas. Our clients include governments, Tribes, industry, and citizen groups in the United States and abroad. Our mission is to protect and maintain a healthy environment through creative, interdisciplinary environmental problem solving with government, industry, and the public. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in science or engineering and experience with climate adaptation/resilience and alternative energy work for a full time position.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist in research for project work and proposals
Prepare environmental science and policy reports
Communicate scientific concepts associated with the development and implementation of environmental regulations and policies
Assist with marketing efforts through research, telephone calls, and meetings
Work with data to create charts, figures, and tables
Provide administrative support including answering the phone and assistance to principals
Desired Qualifications:
Live in a HUB Zone (http://map.sba.gov/hubzone/maps)
Master’s degree (completed or currently enrolled) in climate, energy, environmental science, engineering, or related fields (or equivalent work experience)
Be able to work independently
Have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Be able to prioritize and multi-task while remaining flexible and effective
Have a willingness to work hard at various tasks to help an exciting small consulting firm grow
