ClimeCo International (CCI) is a renewable energy producer.
We turn agricultural waste water into electrical power, steam
and heat (anaerobic digestion, biogas-to-power). Our focus
areas are the palm oil and sugar industry in Central America
and the Caribbean. Between May & October 2012 CCI will produce
full feasibility studies (FS) – technical & financial – for 11
individual projects.
For these FS CCI is offering a non-paid full- or part-time
(20/40hrs wk) internship for highly motivated students.
The main tasks for the future intern will be
• Data research, processing and analysis
• Contact with in-country project owners & authorities
• Co-writing parts of the FS
• Support in financial modeling
The successful candidate will be
• Diligent, highly motivated researcher & analyst
• Strong ability to find, analyze and present data
• Fluent in spoken English and Spanish
• Good English writing skills, basic IT skills (MS Office)
• Engineering, chemistry, biology or business background
• Graduate or under-graduate student
• Good understanding of business principles
As part of this internship the candidate will receive a sound inhouse
training and education in project development as well as
anaerobic digestion and biogas-to-power technologies. Additionally
the intern will gain a profound insight into project development
and the business culture in Latin America and the
Caribbean. Occasional travel is possible, but not a pre-requisite
or guaranteed. Selective, pre-authorized use of ClimeCo data in
a scientific publication (Master’s or PhD thesis) is possible.
