Salary: $15.00 Hourly

The City of Wilsonville GIS department is seeking to continue its GIS Intern program during the summer of 2012. The Intern(s) will be responsible for a variety of projects that may include the collection of City infrastructure for the City’s asset management program, Cartegraph, development of various components of the City’s GIS website, cartographic product production, and other GIS projects and initiatives.

The team(s) will have the opportunity to work closely with the City’s GIS Manager as well as other city staff, yet also independently develop the work plan and daily schedule that best meets the goals for the summer.

Past intern projects have included support for the update of the City’s Transportation System Plan (TSP), inclusion of the SMART transit system in Google Transit, and GPS field inventories of city signage, fire hydrants and the stormwater system.

Ideal Candidates will have experience using GIS in a local government or comparable setting. Senior level college students or recent graduates pursuing a GIS certificate and/or career are strongly encouraged to apply.
