Washington Sea Grant Science Writing Fellows help to inform the world about marine-related research, education and outreach.

  • One Science Writing Fellow is selected for each of three quarters during the academic year.  The fellows work closely with staff of Washington Sea Grant’s Communications team.  Each fellow is expected to spend 10 hours per week on WSG Communications assignments.  A $1,000 award is offered for each quarter.
  • The fellowship is limited to current graduate and upper-level undergraduate students in Washington state.
  • Applicants should submit a resume, two writing samples and a cover letter describing how this experience would further their personal and professional goals.
The Application Deadline for Winter Quarter is 5 pm on Thursday, November 29, 2012.
