This looks so good Patrick! I really respect your confidence in venturing out and experimenting with new techniques. Working in a different style is something I find difficult but you really seemed to have picked it up quickly. The textures you are achieving with pastels are so reminiscent of oil painting that I am curious to see how you would do using oil paint as your medium. As I said in critique last week, your color pallet has completely changed from winter to Spring, giving this piece a completely different feeling than your work last quarter and reflecting the change of seasons.
