Project Abstract
I am working with the design concept of 1+1=3 or more, often of negative connotation, to create abstraction, space and place in black and white photographs. I am inviting the eye to linger in the space between. This site is a place to digest the work I am doing this quarter and all of the synthesis occurring inside and outside of the darkroom.Categories

Your site is quite elegant! Now I know why you found importance in the word “sensation” during the seminar on Nostalgia and Happiness—you’ve spent some time considering the significance and variants of the word. In losing the plot, I imagine that one needs to incorporate visual closure—or maybe that’s too elementary a solution. Now I’m looking forward to entries that offer narrative content on the progress of meeting your aims for the project. Are such stories brewing? I’d like to read about the psychology of things unseen and how it manifests in your photography.
