Taste differences in Tea because of Terroir

Some say ignorance is bliss, so if I looked into where my tea is coming from it changed the way I experience that tea.  Some people believe if they are buying “fair trade”  they may feel better about where they are getting the tea from and subconsciously the tea may taste better. Also where the tea is being grown affects the flavor of the tea because of the varying growing conditions such as different soil types climate and slope of the land.  Darjeeling tea is a good example, because it can only grow with a consistent flavor in one small area in Darjeeling India. When I learned all bag tea is floor sweepings, I stopped drinking it for about a month.
