Visualizing A Better Tomorrow
Around my area of inquiry, West Bay Park, there are various informational signs. These are filled with history of Olympia, conservation efforts, and facts of the plants found in the park. These signs aren’t ignored either. Park visitors will either glance them over or stand and read all that their attention span allows. I sat at a bench for about 30 minutes and just watched the park visitors. To my surprise, most of them were aware of their surroundings. They picked up loose trash, admired the flowers in the trees and in the field, talked about what they read on the signs, and admired the critters of the beach.
