Visualizing Nature’s Laugh
“Earth laughs in flowers.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Flowers are symbols of beauty. We grow them and modify them to reach certain aesthetics. But those flowers are incomparable to the captivating site of the first bloom of spring. Seeing flowers naturally bloom bring such peace to the mind that we forget about buying bouquets or a single rose. There’s something about wild flowers that just makes you giggle with euphoria.
Capturing a flower with photography is like hearing a burst of giggles from the Earth and listening to it over and over again because it brings you that much joy. However, painting flowers is like trying to remember a laugh. Soon, the Earth won’t be able to laugh anymore, and all we will be able to do is paint those giggles, but never be able to truly hear them ever again.
