Overcast commonplace for Olympians

From the lakeside on the east side of the dam, a look to the west provides a view of the Capitol Lake Dam and a featured tree still waiting for warmer spring before adding on new foliage. The overcast only seems to add character to the lakeside. The sky denotes blues similar to the dam itself. The overcast also does not seem to deter the local Heritage park path users. Mothers with children in tow still made their way briskly around the park path. Capitol Hill occupants still in business attire dawned tennis shoes to make their daily trek around the lake. The weather did seem to deter the seagulls and songbirds somewhat, but the ducks were busy as usual. One moment revealed what seemed to be a dozen or so ducks, and the next moment only a handful of ducks appeared on the lakes surface after several others had gone underwater to inspect for appetizers. The overcast also seemed to add some reflective properties to Capitol Lake, as the Capitol Building’s dome could be seen in detail off the lake surface.

Through the trees can be seen the Capitol Building and its reflection off Capitol Lake.
