“Future” Post Overview

You will craft a final, summary post about the possible effects of climate change on your Area of Inquiry.

Working from field notes, images, maps and other resources you find, you will craft a succinct and readable profile of your site in the future that addresses the effects of sea level rise on land use and on natural and cultural features. Speculate about how global warming will change the site’s sense of place. Consider the influence on your site of the surrounding area: how will changes in the surrounding environment and its use affect your site?

You will:

• Include your projected waterline map(s).
• Revise and combine notes & sketches from field journal that consider possible changes to the natural, cultural and built environment.
• Include a limited number of observational, impressionistic and expressionistic images to support your narrative of Olympia’s future.
• Embed hypertext links to resources the you used and/or which provide additional relevant information about the future of your site.
• Choose a “featured image.”
• Select the correct post category: “Olympia Future”
• Locate posts on GeoMashup.
• Tag your post(s) with relevant key words.
