smileSean Williams teaches ethnomusicology, Irish Studies, and Asian Studies at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, where she has taught since 1991. She is teaching “Ireland in History and Memory” (with Geoff Cunningham) in 2016-2017. Sean’s book projects include World Music (a textbook aimed at lower-division college students) and The Performance of Liminality: Sacred, Alluring, and Dangerous (a monograph). She also has a Facebook alter ego named Captain Grammar Pants with over 40,000 followers.
