This July I will be spending my weekends visiting places around WA.

Last weekend I went to Long Beach on the coast. It is supposed to be the longest beach in the world! My boyfriend’s family has a house there and it was great to be able to relax with his family.  We went to the beach and visited around town. Since it was the weekend before 4th of July we went to see the fireworks in Ilwaco (5 minutes away). We also visited the farmer’s market in Ilwaco and they ordered fresh crab and salmon that we cooked for dinner. It is about two and a half hours away from where I live in Lacey.

This weekend I am going camping at Alder Lake, which is supposed to be an hour away outside of Eatonville (southeast of Olympia.) I’m going with my best friend and her family and am really looking forward to it.

The weekend after I am going camping at Ocean Shores which is also on the coast but a bit more North. We’re going to celebrate my friend’s birthday.

The weekend after that is my birthday weekend. Of course my birthday is on a Monday so I get the whole weekend to celebrate. Portugal the Man is playing at the Paramonte Theatre in Seattle on Thursday. I’m hosting my birthday party on Friday at the Office bar and grill in Tumwater.

What I love about living in Lacey is that I am in the middle of everything. I can go up north to easily see a show, to the coast to see the water, or just hang close to Olympia to have fun.
