October 24, 2010: Evergreen vs. Southern Oregon

Maybe it was something in the wind or the feeling of California only several miles away, but the Evergreen State college Women’s Soccer team came to the field differently than they had in several weeks. With renewed energy, Evergreen faced Southern Oregon, fighting hard with a surprising vigor. Southern Oregon was able to get two early goals, but from then on found no other way to penetrate the Geoduck defense. Injury and size of team aside, the Goeducks held their heads high as they walked away from the game, knowing that although they suffered yet another loss, there was a moral victory in their hearts. There is a lot of eagerness for the next two upcoming games, which should be fun and exciting to watch.
