PORTLAND, Ore. – After helping lead the Evergreen Geoducks to their best finish since 2007, senior forward Brianna Speed (Seattle, Wash./Lake Washington) has been named Second Team All-Cascade Conference, the fourth straight year she earned all-conference honors.
Speed, who played a team-high 1245 minutes in 2011, scored four goals and assisted on three others as the Geoducks went 5-9-1 on the season. She was named to the Second Team All-CCC as a freshman in 2008 and earned Honorable Mention All-CCC honors in both 2009 and 2010.
Senior Anastasia Daniels (Olympia, Wash./South Puget Sound CC) and freshman Shani Ramento (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) were also honored by the conference as both were named Honorable Mention All-Cascade Conference selections in 2011. Daniels led the Geoducks with seven goals in 14 minutes played while Ramento had a solid freshman season, helping to anchor the Evergreen defense that earned a 1-0 shutout over then third-ranked Concordia (Ore.).
Audrey Sullivan of Corban was named Offensive Player of the Year while Concordia’s Brittany Orr repeated as Defensive Player of the Year. Northwest freshman Acacia Johnson was named Newcomer of the Year. Jon Clement of Southern Oregon and Erin Redwine of Northwest were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
