Purpose

The purpose of this field study is to analyze Parisian music, and more specifically how jazz has been adopted, adapted and transformed, by the Parisian and French culture to become what it is today while experiencing the Parisian ways of life. Throughout my time in Musical Cities I have focused a good amount on how a certain culture or a clash of cultures creates new and wonderful art forms and I plan to continue that study in Paris.
