GRuB Farm

GRuB Farm with approximate boundary line, sourced from google.

The Victory Garden Project, formerly known as the Kitchen Garden Project has built back yard gardens in Thurston and Mason Counties for eleven years now.

This map, created using google maps, shows gardens built between 2011 and 2017. Each dot represents a garden built and each color represents a different year. I helped construct this resource, which includes gardener contact information when viewed in its online interactive format, during my internship with the KGP last spring.

This map shows gardens built in the last two years, many of which I have been a part of the building team. Green dots are for 2016 and blue for 2017. The program installs between 50 and 80 gardens each spring.

The final map, created by Katherine for use in the Field Trip Program, highlights the route we take when giving a tour at GRuB and where the workshops are offered. It is a tool we offer the high school students to prepare them for these events.
