Election Commissioners:

Benton and Francisco have been hired as the election commissioners.

Bylaws:

Nate presented a new proposed bylaw, it states:

“At anytime there are fewer than the maximum numbers of GSU reps, students who are not currently a GSU rep may petition to become one. To petition, a potential representative must collect the signatures of at least as many currently enrolled students as participated in the most recent election. Freshman may not petition to join the GSU before the fall election of the first year. No person may fill a spot designated for a certain group for which they are not a member of. For example a student on theOlympiacampus cannot petition to be on the GSU if the only spots remaining are for freshman,Tacomaor Reservation based reps.”

Nate motioned to approve the new Bylaw as it’s written. Andrew Seconded. Motion passed.

Ballot:

“Should the GSU ever fall below the maximum number of members, if there were more candidates for the most recent election and than there were slot available, the candidate with the next highest number of votes who did not become a GSU rep will be come a GSU rep if they so choose. This process will continue will until either the GSU is at the maximum number of members or there are no more candidates who were not elected. No person may fill the slot for which a group they are not apart of.”

Nate motioned to approve the ballot item. Amy seconded. Motion passed.

Minutes:

Nate motion to approve last week’s meeting minutes. Andrew seconded. Motion passed.
