If you absolutely cannot make it to the forum itself, stop by the Geoduck Student Union table at the Student Activities Fair that same day, to make sure your ideas are heard!”

Today the GSU held its final meeting of the 2012-2013 year.
During public comments, Forest inquired about election outreach, which the election commissioner is handling (though we recently had to fire a new one since the other left unexpectedly).
Washpirg Fee Collection Agreement 2013-15
The GSU started by reviewing and updating business from last week, namely that liaison to the faculty was not approved; Douglas and Natalie went to the capitol on Thursday and handed out petitions to senators; and Wash-PIRG achieved their goal of obtaining signatures from 40% of the student body to allow them to be placed on the ballot in the upcoming election.
This week during public comments a representative of Wash-PIRG inquired about the state of Wash-PIRG’s eligibility to be put on the ballot. The petition run by Wash-PIRG to get on the ballot is currently going through Registration and Records and the GSU had no knowledge of its status.
During public comments the GSU heard from a student, Matt, representing Wash-PIRG who came to ask the body to pass a measure in support of overturning Citizen’s United.
This week’s meeting began with an introduction to Milton Lang, one of the candidates for Vice President of Student Affairs. Dr. Lang spoke to the GSU enthusiastically about his background and why he is interested in working at and with Evergreen. Dr. Lang intimated that if he were to be selected he would be a partner to student governance and help it to improve.
