RESIDENTIAL OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT COORDINATOR (PART-TIME, TEMPORARY)

The City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) Residential Events and Outreach Team are seeking two (2) coordinators to assist with the City’s changes to the Curbside Collection System.

The ideal candidate will possess an interest in recycling, composting, waste prevention and community engagement. The candidates will be dealing directly with the public and outside agencies; strong organization, responsiveness, communication and customer service skills set are musts.

The coordinators will work under the guidance of BPS staff on a variety of tasks.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Desired qualifications:
–Previous experience in customer service or other outreach work.
–Experience representing a governmental or other organization to the public.
–Bilingual and experience working with Spanish speaking community.

Pay: $16.00 per hour with no additional benefits for this part-time, temporary position.
