This is professional work in environmental planning; supporting environmental protection, adoption of state and local environmental regulations, and current and future environmental projects. Tasks may include conducting and preparing environmental reviews and reports; researching and interpreting data; developing grant applications and managing current funds; supporting the environmental component of City Capital Improvement Projects; assisting in administration of current contracts for professional services; permit and project review; responding to requests for information; special projects; conducting assigned studies; providing customer service and environmental expertise at the Permit Center.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Policy or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of successful related experience designing environmental policies and procedures, or Masters degree with one year of successful experience designing environmental policies and procedures. Successful experience conducting environmental field investigations is also required.
