Here’s your opportunity to put your biological skills to work for ODFW’s Northeast-Central Oregon Research and Monitoring Program. Develop and oversee Chinook salmon and steelhead adult escapement, productivity, and survival studies in the John Day Basin. Assure that salmon conservation and restoration activities are conducted in the most effective and scientifically sound manner and that population status is assessed over time.

There are two full time, permanent positions located in La Grande and The Dalles. There are also two full time, limited duration positions through June 30, 2011 with the possibility of extension located in La Grande and Hermiston. These positions have been requested for permanent status in the next budget pending legislative approval.

Qualifications:
Three years’ biological experience performing studies, research, or resource management activities in fish/wildlife program. One year must be technical or professional level; and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries/Wildlife Science or closely-related Bachelor’s degree with at least 45 quarter/30 semester hours biological/ecologic

al coursework, or three additional years’ biological experience; AND one year of leadwork/supervisory duties.
