The Redfish Rocks Community Team (RRCT) seeks to hire a Coordinator to provide support for successful implementation of the Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve and Marine Protected Area. The Coordinator will work with team members, agency staff, and other partners to implement actions identified in the RRCT work plan. The position is 3/4 time (30 hrs/ week) and based in the community of Port Orford, Oregon.
The Redfish Rocks Community Team was established in 2009 to provide a means for community engagement in the implementation of the marine reserve and marine protected area. The team represents a wide range of stakeholder groups that have a direct interest in Redfish Rocks. For more information, please visit: http://redfishrocks.org.
This is a one year contract position to begin in the fall of 2011. Compensation is $32,000. Position may be extended pending available funding.
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelors or graduate degree in related field
• Background in marine science and policy
• Project management experience
• Experience working with fishermen and other ocean stakeholders
• Grant writing experience
