The position serves as the lead of the Shellfish Restoration Program within the Growing Area Section of the Office of Shellfish and Water Protection.  Not only will the incumbent get to help define the direction of our Shellfish Restoration Program and work with energetic people throughout the Puget Sound area and the coast, they will also have the opportunity to help with the management of conditionally approved growing areas and emergency growing area closures.   Shellfish area restoration activities are often the spotlight of the section’s activities.
