Project Manager/Environmental Compliance Manager Positions available

We are seeking a skilled biologist with project management experince. Candidates must be fexiable and be able to hit the ground running. Responsibilites would include managing various projects, client coordination, resource agency meeetings, prepartion of documents, and wildlife/plant surveys, and consstruction monitoring.
5+ Years of biogical/environmental consulting experience in protected species management including but not limited to surveys and biological monitoring for construction activities. Enironmental specialists may also be considered. Candidates should have experience with SF Bay Area listed animal species and migratory birds. Wetland expereince a plus.
Job sites will vary, but will typically be along the San Francisco Peninsula and in the SF East Bay area. As job sites are unpredictable you must be willing to drive to job locations.
Duties:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We are seeking wildlife biologists with project management experience to take over the project management of 6+ projects. Duties include staff management, schedule coordination, supervising/training, and compliance management duties for lage civil construction projects for environmental impacts including water, hazardous materials, biology, etc., with specialists working under your supervision. This position requires the ability to conduct special-status species surveys, bird surveys, report writing, water quality monitoring, coordinating well with stakeholders, including contractor personnel and the Resource Agencies, and compliance management.
5+ years experience in the consulting field, and 3 years of project management or focused compliance work is required. This is not negotiable. Wages comprable to the stadard going rates based on experience are being offered.
Other Responsiblities:
Performing biological surveys for sensitive species
Conducting Biological Assessments or other studies and report preparation
Monitoring construction activities for environmental compliance and sensitive species
Training and working with construction staff to promote a compliant work environment
Preparing daily reports
Coordinating with stake holders including Resource Agency personnel as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field
4 years of construction and environmental monitoring and biological surveys for sensitive species
Experience surveying and monitoring Bay Area listed species, especially reptiles and amphibians (California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander, Alameda whipsnake)
Experience with regulatory agencies
Able to perform surveys and monitoring in all types of terrain and weather conditions
Current CA driver’s license and proof of insurance
3-5 Years Compliance Management experience required for Compliance Manager Applicants
