HOME GARDEN COORDINATOR (TEMPORARY, HALF-TIME)
GROWINGGARDENS, Portland, Oregon
Closes: Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 5:00 pm

GROWINGGARDENS digs at the root of hunger. We literally work from the ground up to promote urban, home-scale organic food gardening where the need is greatest. In low income communities throughout Portland, staff and volunteers install food gardens for families, individuals in their homes, at neighborhood schools, and at other non-profit organizations. Sustainable food gardening restores and promotes the health of people, neighborhoods, and the planet. Healthy people working together build strong, thriving communities.

This is a new position that oversees the coordination of the Home Garden Program with an emphasis on Spanish-speaking Home Gardeners through the Growing Huertos program in support of GROWINGGARDENS
mission. The Home Garden Coordinator is supervised by the Garden Programs Manager and works closely with staff, board members, businesses, partner organizations, and volunteers.
