SENIOR FISH MARKING TECHNICIAN

Located in Clackamas, oversee the operation of fish marking trailers engaged in coded-wire tagging (CWT), fin marking and other fish tagging operations at various hatchery sites statewide. Transfer, set-up, maintain and repair CWT equipment. Crowd and load juvenile fish; monitor fish health; collect and record fish marking data; and coordinate fish marking project requirements with staff.
Qualifications:
Requires two years and six months of fisheries experience; AND an Associate’s degree in Fisheries Technology, Aquaculture or Aquarium Science; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Wildlife Science, or a closely-related Bachelor’s degree with at least 45 quarter (30 semester) hours of biological/ecological coursework and one year of fisheries experience; OR four years of fisheries experience.
