The Lead Fish Passage Scientist will design and conduct scientific studies and tests, interpret results, review and develop reports, and provide recommended action(s) to management. Additionally the scientist will ensure compliance with all environmental, governmental, and regulatory requirements. Specific responsibilities include: supervising Lewis River Fish Passage facility staff; managing the Lewis River Fish Passage Program to meet PacifiCorp Safety Goals; preparing budgets and developing plans for assigned tasks and projects; and assisting Portland Staff Scientists with Lewis River aquatic monitoring and evaluation efforts.
