This position serves as the co-lead of the Lower Columbia Science Team in the Wild Salmon Production Evaluation Unit. The position provides oversight and statistical consultation for the development, implementation, and evaluation of salmon and steelhead monitoring plans in the Lower Columbia River. This position also provides oversight for salmon and steelhead research studies with an emphasis on hatchery-wild interactions and freshwater habitat requirements of salmon and steelhead. The position is expected to manage contracts, produce annual reports, and publish in the peer-review literature. This position reports to immediate supervisor and interacts with WDFW Region 5 staff, including the ESA/Anadromous Fish Investigations Unit Lead and the Region 5 Fish Program Manager. This position also interacts with administrative and other personnel from State, Federal, Tribal, and local agencies and the general public.
