Duties (partial list):
–Coordinate/
–Conduct public outreach and engage community organizations and businesses. Conduct volunteer events focused on the survey of invasive plants, mechanical and chemical control of invasive plants and monitoring.
–Coordinate post-treatment monitoring efforts.
–Develop and maintain an interactive website for the project.
–Assist with grant writing, management and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS (partial list):
–Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, sciences, ecology or educational fields from a four-year college or university.
–Experience with invasive species management and coordinating management plans in addition to invasive species monitoring and surveying techniques.
–Experience with the use of herbicides is preferred.
–At least two years’ experience recruiting and managing volunteers and a volunteer program with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
–Willingness to work Saturdays and some evenings to fit the needs of a project or program.
