The Park Ranger Supervisor, under the direction of the Portland Parks and Recreation Security Manager, requires effective management skills and is responsible for planning, assigning and supervising the work of four (4) full-time and approximately twenty (20) seasonal Park Rangers engaged in the enforcement of City rules and regulations, and municipal and state codes related to park usage.

The Park Ranger Supervisor schedules, assigns and supervises the work of park Rangers engaged in the education and enforcement of City rules and regulation and municipal and state codes related to park usage: participates in the development of the bureau’s public safety and security programs for parks and recreation facilities. This is an unarmed position that also focuses on the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders such as City departments, Portland Police Bureau and members, citizens inquiring about park permits and usage of facilities, security and programs.
