The Center Director is the primary leadership position for the Tillamook Forest Center, responsible for the overall operation of the center and its programs and facilities. The position provides direction on scheduling, strategic planning and budget development, marketing and outreach, program evaluation, and community / constituency involvement and outreach. The position serves as a resource and member of the team that interacts with center visitors. The position is directly responsible for supervision of four full-time and six seasonal positions. Some of these positions are supervised via lead-work arrangements with subordinates.

The Director sets the tone and atmosphere for center operations, determines the scope and quality standards for overall visitor experiences, and determines the most efficient use of agency resources associated with the center. Decisions made by the Director will affect the overall effectiveness of communications with the target audiences of ODF, the Tillamook State Forest, and the Tillamook Forest Center.
