The Greater Maple Valley Community Center (GMVCC) Board of Directors seeks a creative and enthusiastic leader to guide a dynamic community-serving organization in its next important phase of growth and development. GMVCC’s mission is to enrich the community with quality human services and social activities. Building on a 36-year legacy of success, GMVCC serves youth, seniors, and families with programs, services, and facilities that promote the social well-being and health of the community. Based on a model of prevention, our programs provide education, recreation, and involvement opportunities, enabling community members to reduce isolation and create connections.

Recognized in 2011 by Family Circle magazine as one of the ten best towns in the United States for families, the Maple Valley area has grown rapidly in recent years and its human services needs have changed dramatically. The Community Center is seeking an Executive Director who can expand programs, funding, and facilities to help meet these expanding community needs.

This position offers an opportunity to lead and manage a beloved community institution, in partnership with an active Board of Directors, a high-achieving professional staff of 20 (6 FT), dedicated volunteers, and an engaged community. GMVCC `s 2012 budget of $800,000 is supported by individuals, foundations, corporations, United Way, the City of Maple Valley, and state and county grants. The Executive Director reports to a 10-member Board of Directors.
