The School Garden Project of Lane County (located in Eugene, OR) is a nonprofit formed in 2001 to help establish school gardens and to provide resources, professional consultation, and educational programs in local schools. Our mission is to help schools create and sustain gardens where hands-on learning connects students with their environment and local food system.

We are seeking four enthusiastic Garden Instructors for the 2012-13 school year to engage K-8th graders in garden based learning. Instructors will use SGP’s garden curriculum to teach students basic gardening skills while they learn about science, math and health topics through games and hands-on activities. Garden Instructors will lead both during the day and after-school programs.

Variable hours depending on the season and programming needs, $11.50/hr.
