Audubon Society of Portland, a leading voice in conservation for over a century is recruiting for a full-time Community Coordinator. This position is under the Education Department and will work from our new East Portland office, located at Leach Botanical Garden. A unique opportunity exists for someone who is outgoing and self motivated, possesses strong communications skills, has an interest in conservation and community building and wants to learn about non-profit operations.

The responsibilities of the Community Coordinator will encompass project planning, recruiting youth and young adults, and orientation and training. He/she will assist Portland Audubon staff in building a robust and effective conservation and education program primarily serving residents living in the East Metro area. He/she will assist Portland Audubon staff in hiring and managing summer interns, intern career advising, evaluating and grant administration. The candidate will be expected to work some weekend and evening hours.

This is a full time, exempt position. The Salary Range is between $28,288 and $38,272. Portland Audubon offers a generous compensation package including; paid vacation and administrative leave, medical and dental benefits and employer retirement contribution.
