Adapt Engineering has an immediate need for a cultural resource specialist based out of our Portland, Oregon office. The position will begin as temporary, but may become permanent depending on performance and workload.

The selected candidate will complete environmental reviews of potential impacts to historic properties and/or archeological resources for construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. The primary focus will be on satisfying NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) requirements for proposed cellular communication projects regulated by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). A background in architectural history, archeology, or a related field is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience with NEPA and the NHPA is preferred. All candidates should have a graduate degree in architectural history, archeology, or related field. Experience working with federal and state agencies is favorable. Candidates meeting any of the Secretary of the Interior’s qualifications as a Principal Investigator (P.I.) are very strongly preferred. Adapt requires someone that is able to create technical reports, has strong customer service and communication skills, and is capable of being both a participant and leader in a team environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, the capability for multi-tasking and seamless time management.
