40 hours per week minimum (flexible work schedule) includes regular evenings and weekends.

The Columbia Slough Watershed Council is a diverse group of neighbors, property owners, businesses, environmental groups, recreation advocates, and government agencies who work to restore and enhance the 60 miles of waterways, wetlands, and slow moving channels known as the Columbia Slough. Through stewardship, education, and active problem solving the Council is committed to the call to action to preserve, protect and enhance the watershed.

The Outreach Director’s primary duties are to manage outreach, communications, and events coordination for the Council and its programs. The Council holds a variety of public events throughout the year, including festivals, large and small paddling events, walking and bicycling tours, family outdoor activities, award dinner and fundraiser, and restoration activities.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in natural resource sciences, business, or communications preferred or a minimum of three years experience in public relations, communications, or events planning may be substituted.
